The staff were outstanding and made my stay feel personalized and professional. Bagpipes playing while enjoying drinks created a great atmosphere. the Downton Abbey-esque drawing room was perfect for post-dinner drinks and a game of chess. the traditional breakfast was delicious and a perfect start to the day. the historical nature of the place made it a unique and interesting experience. As a budget traveler, I appreciated the free upgrade offered to me.
Felt so well taken care of, no complaints at all.

The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, making our stay very pleasant. The location was convenient for visiting nearby sites and castles. We also enjoyed the beautiful surroundings and the peaceful time we had in the walled garden.
Some of the furniture, doors, windows, walls, upholstery, and carpeting in our room looked tired and in need of refreshing. we found the menu to be lacking in choices, especially when it came to traditional Scottish dishes.

Wonderful service and a free upgrade. Enormous room and a bath/jacuzzi the size of a small car.

Culloden House is a good hotel but with a few changes it could be an exceptional hotel. The building, it's history and it's location are great, the staff are welcoming and helpful, the food was (mostly) excellent.
This isn't a case of dislikes more a case of what we would have hoped for. Although available on request there are no coffee making facilities in the rooms. It was lovely to sit by the fire in the Adam's Room before dinner but it would have been nice to have been offered this room after dinner for taking coffee. Dinner was good, the pre-starter of pepper soup was rich and dark-fruity, unfortunately the lamb was overcooked but the excellent white chocolate torte and passionfruit ice made up for it. I would like to have been offered a selection of beers from any of the local breweries and possibly canapes before dinner. I don't any of these as complaints we had an enjoyable stay but it's the details that make the difference at this level.

Set in a serene and secluded location, this charming hotel is nestled in a secret garden, providing a peaceful retreat away from the hustle and bustle of the city. the rooms are tastefully decorated with a touch of old-world charm, offering a comfortable stay. the staff is welcoming and attentive, ensuring a pleasant experience throughout your stay. the breakfast served is delicious, with a variety of options to choose from. Guests can also enjoy the beautiful view of the private walled garden, adding to the overall charm of the hotel.
The outdated separate hot and cold taps in the bathroom sink may be inconvenient for some guests.

Everything about our stay at Culloden House was incredible. We arrived late after a long drive and were warmly welcomed, allowed to park up front. Despite the dining room being closed, we were treated to a phenomenal dinner. The staff went above and beyond, even helping us with our boarding passes and serving us breakfast before hours. The location is great, the facility beautiful, and the food unparalleled. The staff's friendliness and helpfulness were outstanding. This hotel truly exceeded our expectations.
100% recommend this hotel.
